Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR1179 RNA is linked to patient survival in 13 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR1179 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher MIR1179 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR1179 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD and OV show a favorable association.

STAD, TGCT, and THCA are the cancer types where MIR1179 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
