Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR101-1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 12 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR101-1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher MIR101-1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR101-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and DLBC show a favorable association.

THCA, KIRP, and LIHC are the cancer types where MIR101-1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
