Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIF4GD RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIF4GD data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher MIF4GD RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIF4GD expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and BRCA show a favorable association.
UCEC, BRCA, and KIRC are the cancer types where MIF4GD RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
