Across TCGA patient cohorts, MIF mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 102 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MIF-associated genes across cancer lineages are MIR920, RPL23AP4, and LINC01069. Each is linked with MIF in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MIF-to-partner and partner-to-MIF results are reported.
