Across TCGA cell cohorts, MIF RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 3,130 significant associations in total. SKIN shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MIF-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Negative regulation of macrophage chemotaxis, Protein localization to microtubule plus-end, and Protein localization to microtubule end. Each is linked with MIF in more than 14 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MIF-to-partner and partner-to-MIF results are reported.
