Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIA-RAB4B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIA-RAB4B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where MIA-RAB4B RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIA-RAB4B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and HNSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, STAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where MIA-RAB4B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
