Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MGAT4B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MGAT4B data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher MGAT4B mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MGAT4B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and GBM show a favorable association.
LSCC, PDAC, and GBM are the cancer types where MGAT4B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
