Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MGA Mutation is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MGA data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher MGA Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MGA expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as OV and BLCA show a favorable association.

MESO, KICH, and PRAD are the cancer types where MGA Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
