Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MFSD6L RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MFSD6L data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher MFSD6L RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MFSD6L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and READ show a favorable association.
SKCM, UCEC, and READ are the cancer types where MFSD6L RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
