Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, METTL4 RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated METTL4 data layer compared with 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher METTL4 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated METTL4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and THYM show a favorable association.
MESO, LIHC, and LGG are the cancer types where METTL4 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
