Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, METTL2A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated METTL2A data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher METTL2A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated METTL2A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUAD, BLCA, and SKCM are the cancer types where METTL2A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
