Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MED18 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MED18 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher MED18 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MED18 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and STAD show a favorable association.
COAD, LIHC, and STAD are the cancer types where MED18 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
