Across TCGA cell cohorts, MCU RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 5,166 significant associations in total. BONE shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MCU-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Cellular response to calcium ion starvation, Regulation of mitochondrial fission, and Positive regulation of mitochondrial ATP synthesis coupled electron transport. Each is linked with MCU in more than 19 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MCU-to-partner and partner-to-MCU results are reported.
