Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MCEMP1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MCEMP1 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher MCEMP1 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MCEMP1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
KIRC, UCEC, and LIHC are the cancer types where MCEMP1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
