Across TCGA patient cohorts, MC5R mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 20 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MC5R-associated genes across cancer lineages are JNK2, Notch1, and p62 Lck ligand. Each is linked with MC5R in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MC5R-to-partner and partner-to-MC5R results are reported.
