Across TCGA patient cohorts, MBD5 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 89 significant associations in total. BRCA shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MBD5-associated genes across cancer lineages are NECAB2, BET1, and KLHL29. Each is linked with MBD5 in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MBD5-to-partner and partner-to-MBD5 results are reported.
