Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MBD2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MBD2 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher MBD2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MBD2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BLCA, LUAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where MBD2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
