Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAT2A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MAT2A data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher MAT2A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MAT2A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
COAD, CHOL, and UCEC are the cancer types where MAT2A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
