Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MARCKSL1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MARCKSL1 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher MARCKSL1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MARCKSL1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and LSCC show a favorable association.

PDAC, CCRCC, and LSCC are the cancer types where MARCKSL1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
