Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAPT-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MAPT-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher MAPT-AS1 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MAPT-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and BRCA show a favorable association.

KIRC, BRCA, and LGG are the cancer types where MAPT-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
