Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAPK9 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MAPK9 data layer compared with 7 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher MAPK9 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MAPK9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and SKCM show a favorable association.
KIRC, HNSC, and SKCM are the cancer types where MAPK9 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
