Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAPK15 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MAPK15’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where MAPK15 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MAPK15 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, KICH, and STAD are the cancer types where MAPK15 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
