Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAP3K8 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MAP3K8 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher MAP3K8 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MAP3K8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as MESO and SKCM show a favorable association.
KIRC, MESO, and SKCM are the cancer types where MAP3K8 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.

Ranked by sampling consensus. AUC1 and AUC2 indicate survival in the high- and low-expression groups, respectively; the lower AUC marks the poorer-surviving group. p-values are from the log-rank test.
