Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAP3K8 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 16 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MAP3K8’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where MAP3K8 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MAP3K8 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BLCA and LUAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA, LUAD, and THCA are the cancer types where MAP3K8 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
