Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAP1S RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MAP1S data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher MAP1S RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MAP1S expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SCLC and UCS show a favorable association.
SCLC, ACC, and KIRP are the cancer types where MAP1S RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
