Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAP1S mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MAP1S data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MAP1S mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MAP1S expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and LUAD show a favorable association.

HNSC, CCRCC, and UCEC are the cancer types where MAP1S mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
