Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAP1LC3C RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MAP1LC3C data layer compared with 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher MAP1LC3C RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MAP1LC3C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UVM and HNSC show a favorable association.
UCEC, LUSC, and LGG are the cancer types where MAP1LC3C RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
