Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAOB Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MAOB data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MAOB Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MAOB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, OV, and UCEC are the cancer types where MAOB Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
