Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAN2B1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MAN2B1 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MAN2B1 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MAN2B1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and SCLC show a favorable association.
HNSC, LGG, and SCLC are the cancer types where MAN2B1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
