Across TCGA patient cohorts, MAL2 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 9,080 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MAL2-associated genes across cancer lineages are SAMD12-AS1, MAL2-AS1, and SAMD12. Each is linked with MAL2 in more than 5 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MAL2-to-partner and partner-to-MAL2 results are reported.
