Across TCGA patient cohorts, MAFF protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 4,574 significant associations in total. BRCA shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MAFF-associated genes across cancer lineages are FBP1, RPL32P1, and LINC00582. Each is linked with MAFF in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MAFF-to-partner and partner-to-MAFF results are reported.
