Across TCGA patient cohorts, MAEL mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 45 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MAEL-associated genes across cancer lineages are Caspase-7-cleavedD198, eIF4E, and Lck. Each is linked with MAEL in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MAEL-to-partner and partner-to-MAEL results are reported.
