Across TCGA cell cohorts, MAEL RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 966 significant associations in total. CNS shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MAEL-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are COPII vesicle coating, Positive regulation of heart rate, and Negative regulation of hematopoietic stem cell differentiation. Each is linked with MAEL in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MAEL-to-partner and partner-to-MAEL results are reported.
