Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAD2L1BP RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MAD2L1BP’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where MAD2L1BP RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MAD2L1BP is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

HNSC, LIHC, and KICH are the cancer types where MAD2L1BP tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
