Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MACROH2A2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MACROH2A2 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher MACROH2A2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MACROH2A2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and LUAD show a favorable association.
PDAC, CCRCC, and LUAD are the cancer types where MACROH2A2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
