Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MACO1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MACO1 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MACO1 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MACO1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, COAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where MACO1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
