Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, M6PR mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated M6PR data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher M6PR mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated M6PR expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and UCEC show a favorable association.

LUAD, HNSC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where M6PR mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
