Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LYPD9P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LYPD9P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where LYPD9P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LYPD9P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, KICH, and THCA are the cancer types where LYPD9P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
