Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LSM12P1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LSM12P1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where LSM12P1 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LSM12P1 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, HNSC, and LUAD are the cancer types where LSM12P1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
