Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LRRK2-DT RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 15 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LRRK2-DT’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where LRRK2-DT RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LRRK2-DT is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUAD and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LUAD, KICH, and THCA are the cancer types where LRRK2-DT tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
