Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LRRC8C mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated LRRC8C data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher LRRC8C mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LRRC8C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM show a favorable association.
LSCC, GBM, and OV are the cancer types where LRRC8C mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
