Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LRRC38 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated LRRC38 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher LRRC38 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LRRC38 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CESC and LGG show a favorable association.
KIRP, ACC, and HNSC are the cancer types where LRRC38 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
