Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LRP4 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LRP4’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where LRP4 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LRP4 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and LUAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, KIRC, and UCEC are the cancer types where LRP4 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
