Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LPCAT4 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 16 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LPCAT4’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where LPCAT4 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LPCAT4 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as COAD and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, KIRP, and LIHC are the cancer types where LPCAT4 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
