Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LMX1A RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated LMX1A data layer compared with 6 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in brain lower grade glioma (LGG), where higher LMX1A RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LMX1A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LGG and SCLC show a favorable association.
LGG, SCLC, and COAD are the cancer types where LMX1A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
