LINC00500

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LINC00500 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LINC00500’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where LINC00500 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LINC00500 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as PAAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LUAD, LUSC, and PAAD are the cancer types where LINC00500 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
