Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LINC00445 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LINC00445’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where LINC00445 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LINC00445 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, LUSC, and KICH are the cancer types where LINC00445 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
