Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LIF Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated LIF data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher LIF Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LIF expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
UCEC, ACC, and SKCM are the cancer types where LIF Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
