Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LHX1-DT RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LHX1-DT’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where LHX1-DT RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LHX1-DT is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, HNSC, and KICH are the cancer types where LHX1-DT tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
