Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LGALS9B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated LGALS9B data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher LGALS9B Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LGALS9B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
BLCA, UCEC, and LIHC are the cancer types where LGALS9B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
